Rediscover God PDF Print E-mail

The first lesson Isaiah teaches us is that we must turn from empty religion and rediscover God as Creator, King and the joy of our lives.

Sometimes we walk away from God, but God has never walked away from us! Hebrews 13:5 “I will never leave you or forsake you.” There is no such thing as “too far” where God is concerned! Romans 8:38 For death nor life, angels or principalities, nor things present or things to come, neither height or depth or any created thing can separate us from the love God has for us.

Here’s how to re-connect with God, He gives second chances (even if it’s the 100th second chance!). It’s this simple!

Ninety-two percent of Americans believe in the existence of God. In fact, the question that we hear is “What is God like?” Is God different than what we’ve been taught? Who is God, really? We have found that 2 Chronicles 16:9, a verse from the Bible, provides a phenomenal answer to these questions. The passage tells us that God is real. He is not distant, but close, and we can experience him in our everyday lives. God also desires to be at the center of our lives. He is actively looking for a relationship with any person that will open their heart to him. Finally, God wants to transform our lives. He is loving and good and wants to give his supernatural strength to us in ways that make our lives and the world better.Abundant Faith Christian Center's desire is to help people rediscover God. The natural and healthy outcome is not one based on rules and rituals, but rather one that resembles the heart of Christ.

  1. Admit to God you’ve made some mistakes. 1 John 1:9 if we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  2. Make a commitment to begin making right choices. Romans 12:1 present your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.
  3. Believe that God has given you a fresh start. 2 Corinthians 5:17 if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away and all things are become new.
